About us

Hello!

My name is Jolanda and I am originally from the Netherlands. My big interest is animals and nature, I have loved horses since I was a child.

"My big dream has always been to own my own horse and in 1985 I bought my first horse."

— Jolanda van den Oever

In the Netherlands I had a small horse business with 2 horses and 2 ponies.

In 2008 we (my husband Marcel, our 2 children and I) went to Sweden on holiday. There we immediately felt that we wanted to live in Sweden.

Back in the Netherlands, we started looking for a farm in Norrland and we found our home in Skorped. In 2009, the moving truck with 4 horses, 5 cats, 2 dogs and a parrot went to our new place on Earth. The horses Waron and Mandy are still here, Magic was sold in 2018 and Mickey became ill and unfortunately passed away in 2010.

I started my horse business in 2011, Pandorita was bought in September 2010 and I searched for more horses that would suit the business. Redneck and Oblina came to us in 2012, Tindra was born the same year. Leone was bought in 2013 and Lova in 2020. I also became a foster carer for Nolbacken's Prunella and Mercy in 2020. In 2022 Ziporah, Copperwood and Aurora came to us and Prunella and Mercy went home to their owner.

I take care of bookings, answer your questions and welcome you to the farm.

My son Dominique and I take care of the animals, Marcel mostly drives the tractor. With all other tasks we help, in the summer we cut hay on our own land and leased land.

On the farm there are also other animals such as:

  • Cows of different breeds.

  • Lapp goats, we are part of the gene bank and we conduct small-scale breeding.

  • Hens of mixed breed (hedemora, araucana and sussex).

  • Musk ducks.

  • An Austalian Shepherd herding dog who helps on the farm with all sorts of tasks.

From spring to autumn, we herd the goats every day for a few hours in the locality and in the forest so that they can graze as naturally as possible. We run self-sufficiently, grow our own vegetables in the open and in greenhouses and potatoes in the open in a sustainable organic way.

Welcome!

We wish you a pleasant experience here.

Education

In April 2022, we had training at the Swedish School of Physiotherapy for a certified equine physiotherapist in collaboration with Ailsa Page and Mosjö Stall.

The teacher is Ailsa Page and you get an internship with us at Mosjö Stall with our nice horses.

In May 2023 the new training will begin.
Feel free to look for more information on the Swedish Physiotherapy School's website, where there are also various payment options.

You are very welcome to join us!
